Babywearing Basics
Babywearing is simply holding your baby close, hands-free, using a sling, wrap, or carrier. It's a lovely way to bond, and it can calm a fussy baby.
Types of carriers
A sling is a long piece of fabric secured with a ring or buckle. A wrap is a long stretchy fabric you tie around yourself. A carrier has shoulder straps and buckles at the waist or back.
Keep baby's face visible

Wear your baby in front, facing you. Their face should be uncovered, with their chin off their chest, and close enough to kiss the top of their head.
Support head and hips
Until your baby has head control, make sure their head and body are supported. Their legs should spread naturally to the sides, not dangle straight down.
Use it anywhere
Try babywearing on a walk, while shopping, or around the house.
