Bath Time Routines

A bedtime routine helps your baby learn what to expect and wind down for sleep. A warm bath is a soothing way to start.

Stay close

Never leave your baby alone in the bath, even for a moment. Keep a hand on your baby until they can sit up, and stay within arm's reach after that.

Check the water

Always test the water temperature with your wrist or elbow before your baby goes in. It should feel warm, not hot.

Wind down after

A gentle massage and cuddles after the bath help your baby relax and signal that the day is ending.

End with a story

Reading a bedtime story helps your baby learn new words and enjoy your voice.
