Building Resilience
We can't always protect our children from hard times. The good news is that when children face hardship with the support of a caring adult, they're more likely to grow up resilient, able to bounce back from serious challenges.
One relationship makes a difference
Experts at Harvard's Center on the Developing Child found that the most common factor in children who develop resilience is at least one stable, committed relationship with a supportive parent, caregiver, or other adult.
You can't overdo love

There's no such thing as too much affection, security, sensitivity, or responsiveness.
Take a moment to reflect
As you get ready to welcome your baby, think about the ways you'll help them feel safe, loved, and supported.
