Crawling
Crawling is an exciting milestone! It helps your baby build strength and coordination and gives them a whole new way to explore.
Why it's good for your baby
Crawling helps your baby practice coordinating both sides of the body, builds arm and core strength, and develops hand-eye coordination.
Every baby's style is different

Most babies start moving between 7 and 10 months. Some crawl on hands and knees; others roll, army crawl, or scoot on their bottoms.
How to encourage it
Keep up tummy time. Give your baby plenty of open floor space and place toys just out of reach.
Limit time in containers
Try not to keep your baby in a stroller, swing, or seat for long stretches while awake.
If your baby isn't moving around by 12 months, or you have concerns, talk with your baby's doctor.
