Signs of Postpartum Depression and Anxiety
Many people know the signs of postpartum depression (PPD), like sadness, tearfulness, extreme tiredness, and hopelessness. Postpartum anxiety (PPA) is just as common but looks different, so it's often missed. Both are treatable, and you don't have to suffer quietly.
It may not feel like sadness
Many parents with PPA don't feel sad or weepy. They just feel that something isn't right, or that they don't feel like themselves. Depression and anxiety can also happen together.
Signs of postpartum anxiety

Constant or excessive worry, often about the baby; extreme irritability or anger; racing thoughts and trouble relaxing; trouble sleeping; changes in appetite; and unwanted, upsetting thoughts.
