All volunteer mentors begin by completing an application and sharing a little background information as well as references. Once we receive your application, a Nurture® Program manager will reach out, via email, to discuss the next steps. This includes a phone interview, where the manager learns about your background, along with your personality and parenting style.
All mentors complete a series of online training videos including information from our focus area partners: breastfeeding, early literacy, home visiting programs, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and safe sleep.
