About NurturePA
NurturePA provides free, text message-based peer support to mothers across Pennsylvania, from pregnancy through their child's fifth birthday. Through one-on-one texting with trained peer mentors, we help moms navigate the everyday challenges of early parenthood with encouragement, practical guidance, and a judgment-free connection, all from their phone.
The Opportunity
We're seeking an energetic, community-connected Outreach Coordinator to help us reach mothers in Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, and Fayette Counties who could benefit from NurturePA's free services. This is a short-term, high-impact project: you'll be the face and voice of NurturePA in these counties, building relationships with local organizations and spreading the word directly to moms who need support.
This role is ideal for someone who already lives in one of these counties, has a valid drivers license and reliable transportation, has deep roots in the community and is looking for meaningful, flexible, paid work that makes a real difference for local families.
What You'll Do
-
Enroll mothers with children under 5 living in Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, and Fayette Counties in NurturePA's free texting program, working toward a shared goal of 150 new moms enrolled by November 1
-
Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including churches, food pantries, WIC offices, daycare and preschool providers, pediatric practices, libraries, and family support organizations, to spread awareness of NurturePA
-
Represent NurturePA at community events, baby showers, health fairs, and other local gatherings
-
Distribute flyers, program materials, and enrollment information throughout the four-county area
-
Provide regular updates to NurturePA staff on outreach activities and enrollment progress
-
Share on-the-ground feedback to help NurturePA better serve moms in these counties

Deeply networked in the Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, or Fayette County communities, whether through church, volunteer work, family ties, or professional connections
-
Genuine passion for supporting mothers and young families
-
Comfortable with independent, flexible, remote work paired with regular in-person community engagement
-
Reliable communicator, able to track and report on progress
-
No formal educational requirements; lived experience and community trust matter more to us than a degree
Compensation
-
$15/hour for 8 hours per week

Performance-based bonus opportunity of up to $3,000, tied to enrollment milestones toward the 150-mom goal
-
Flexible, remote-friendly schedule that fits around your existing commitments
