Cruise Control

If your baby is pulling up to stand and moving along the furniture, this simple activity will help them practice "cruising."

Set it up

Line up sturdy adult chairs against a wall, ideally on carpet, so they won't slide.

Stand your baby at one end and help them step from the first chair to the second. Then see if they'll keep going on their own.

Put a favorite toy on the next chair to encourage your baby to move toward it.

Give lots of praise and hugs each time your baby moves to the next spot!

Stay close by and keep the area clear of sharp edges.
