Cuddling and Showing Affection

As your baby starts sitting, reaching, and crawling, getting them to sit still for a cuddle can be a challenge! Cuddle time still matters.

Make it part of your day

Set aside cuddle time each day, like during feedings or story time, so your baby comes to expect it.

Cuddle when your baby is dry, rested, and not hungry (or while they're eating).

If your baby seems unhappy, could they be too warm, too cool, or want to be held differently?

Hugs, kisses, and smiles throughout the day teach your baby how to show love back.
