Hide and Seek

Your baby may be very attached to you right now, and that's normal. A simple game of hide-and-seek shows your baby that when you go away, you always come back.

Play with a helper

Until your baby can crawl well, have another adult hold them while you hide nearby.

Make it exciting

The other adult asks, "Where's Mommy?" as they search. When your baby finds you, use big, happy expressions.

Switch it up

Take turns being the seeker, or let your baby hide with one adult while another looks for them.

Repeat often

The more you play, the more comfortable your baby will get with short separations.
